I had the honor of documenting Rania and Rashad’s engagement celebration last year, engagement session this year and most recently, their wedding. If spending all of this time with them has taught me anything, it’s that these two are the most candid and nonchalant people I’ve met; both being super casual and really not allowing anything to worry them too much on their wedding day. It was my first time experiencing a zaffa: in the Egyptian culture, a group of 6 men usually playing instruments signalling the start of the wedding festivities. This led to a 20 minute non stop, super-packed dance floor at Chateau Briand. It was such a pleasure to get to know Rania and Rashad over the years as well as their family and friends. Here are a few of my favorite images form their wedding. Enjoy!

Special thanks to Aysha and Michelle for their assistance!

Meme Sondos - Happy wedding :D ReplyCancel

Sean and Jaclyn came recommended from a good friend of mine, Joe Dantone. When a fellow wedding photographer refers one of his best friends to be photographed, expectations are pretty high; but with that comes an immense amount of trust and I am truly grateful for having met Jaclyn, Sean and their family. A couple of hours into the wedding day, and the love from Jaclyn’s mother and family was overwhelming, candid, and inspirational. A bit of fun during their engagement session in Central Park and it was all it took for me to know their wedding was going to be insanely fun and one of the most memorable weddings.

We started at the Saint Rose of Lima and made our way to Farmingdale State College a hidden treasure trove for portraits. The rain held up for a beautiful outdoor cocktail hour at The Riviera at Massapequa. I always get a boost of adrenaline as the reception starts in preparation for a dance floor that will inevitable have me running miles by the end of the night. Jaclyn and Sean’s wedding did not disappoint! Here are a few of my favorites. Enjoy! Congrats again Jaclyn and Sean!

So excited to bring you Lauren and Michaels wedding at the gorgeous Studio Square in Long Island City. I met Lauren and Michael a little over a year before their wedding and as soon as I sat down to chat, I fell in love with them as a couple as much as them as people. Their charismatic personalities were so infectious, it was hard not to fall in love with them. Catch up on the engagement session in the Meatpacking district if you haven’t already!

It was definitely one of those unpredictable days; clouds brewing, winds blowing, a peak of sunlight, and then it poured. We traveled to Gantry Park Plaza for photos before celebrating their union and ending the night with a dance floor that entailed lots of jumping, dancing, shouting, wailing, and even a few fleeting intimate moments. Here are a few of my favorite images from their wedding day. Enjoy!

    Sita Sugrim - Lovely!ReplyCancel

My first ever sunrise engagement session was with these two over a year ago. Then I had the pleasure of capturing their engagement party!

Roughly a year later, I am truly honored to have been trusted to document their wedding day also. The morning started off with a beautiful ceremony at the Sri Venkateswara Temple; an architectural beauty! The quiet commotion amongst the guest certainly set the scene for what was a the happiest most entertaining ceremony that I have witnessed. This was the first time I have done a first look like this. It was definitely genuine and a bit of quirky, just like Sushma and Sanjeev. I love the spontaneous events of a wedding day that make for insanely happy memories; take Sushma dumping the whole plate of rice when they were supposed to be “nice” to each other with small handfuls.

Sushma and Sanjeev were officially married and the reception was held at the Renaissance Woodbridge Hotel. 3 stunning shoes + 2 intricately designed outfits + prep by the talented Kanwal Batool to make Sushma’s wedding day just as she wanted. on the flip side, it took Sanjeev 15 minutes a lot less time to put on his suit and slip into his converse to compliment Sushma in personality and fashion. Thanks to the stunning decor by Design House Decor, the reception stage helped transform the scenery to a lavish affair for good folks looking for a good time. B4U Djs was on the track cranking the bass and keeping the dancefloor hot all night. A “few” drinks in and you have guests flipping and your favorite 90′s boy band switching on everyone’s inner rock-star. Thanks for having me be a part of your lives in so many ways Sushma and Sanjeev! Enjoy a few of my favorites!

Everyone who helped make this possible for these two. A special thanks to Aysha and Michelle for their assistance on this day!

Suvriti Gupta - Nice images. Would like to know if a flash on camera, tilted to one side has been used in the dancing pictures.
